Debt Management Plan Fees

Some debt management companies charge an initial set up and monthly management fee for debt management plans. Unlike many others, ClearStart offer debt management plans which are free of charge for the user – please see our ‘Terms of Business’ on the link below to explain how creditors receive their money.

There is a cost to set up and run a debt management plan, however we ask your creditors to fund this at the time the plan is set up. The cost equates to 10% of the monthly payment made. The creditors are not obliged to meet this cost and in the event they don’t, it is funded by us.

Value for money

In addition to making sure that your initial payment is affordable, we will review your circumstances with you regularly (every 12 months, or more often if needed) to ensure that your plan remains right for you.

If we find that you can’t keep up your originally agreed payments we can renegotiate with your creditors.

It’s in your creditor’s interests for you to maintain a regular payment and we will do our best to agree to smaller payments.
