Recession affected low earners the most
It seems the poorest people in the UK are more likely to need debt advice following the recession.
A report by think tank Resolution Foundation found 'low earners' have been most affected by the economic downturn.
People in households earning between £13,500 to £25,800 a year were more likely to see their incomes drop than other groups such as those dependent on benefits or high earners.
38 per cent of low earners said they have been struggling to pay debts and bills. For many a reduction in hours means they have less cash.
Resolution Foundation also says a lack of training or support to learn new skills means it is hard for many to get better paid work.
